Steve and Jan Hashi are husband and wife HawaiÊ»i Island–based artists whose work is inspired by the natural beauty, rhythms, and spirit of the place they call home. While each brings a distinct artistic style and perspective, both draw deeply from their daily connection to the island’s landscapes - from the movement of ocean waves and shifting coastal light to the vibrant colors and forms of HawaiÊ»i’s flora.

Steve’s work explores the energy and motion of the sea through painting, glass, and reflective materials, while Jan’s paintings celebrate color, texture, and the expressive beauty of the natural world. Together, their work offers complementary interpretations of HawaiÊ»i that are both personal and deeply connected to place.
